Your First Steps in 2019 Toward Financial Abundance

Okay, so 2019 is here and you have all of these goals like, “Make More Money!” or “Get your shit together, Heather!”. But where in God’s Creation do you begin? Here are my top 5 tips to starting out 2019 with an organized bank account!

  1. Start now! January, the New Moon. It’s all very fresh and shiny isn’t it? The Universe is working in your favor right now. It’s practically doing the work for you! Ride the waves and get started! *If one of your goals this year is to hire a financial professional, let’s chat!

  2. Separate your business transactions from your personal transactions. This means opening a separate bank account or credit card. It doesn’t necessarily have to be an “business account”. It can just be a separate checking account! Most banks with an online dashboard allow you to change the nickname of a particular account. Name it something that lights your belly fire! THIS IS MY TOP TIP for entrepreneurs looking to get organized. *If you’re not sure what account is right or what bank to go with, book a chat with me and I can help with that!

  3. Keep a simple spreadsheet. What goes in, what comes out. If you have relatively low activity in your business this should be very easy. *If you are feeling overwhelmed with the amount of activity you have, let’s chat about on-boarding a financial professional!

  4. Start a budget. Write down all the business purchases you want to make in the next three months (1st quarter) and start to get an idea of how much you need to make to reach these goals. For example, you could write; launch a website, attend a seminar in Feb., upgrade to Calendly Pro. Does your current income support these endeavors? If not, how much more do you need? *If you need help with this, I create budgets for folks! It’s actually one of my favorite things to do.

  5. And finally, don’t put off quarterly taxes! Most states, if not all, have an online portal where you can pay your quarterly taxes with a checking account or credit card. Trust me, they won’t miss out on getting your money! *If you are feeling uncertain about making quarterly tax payments, I can help with those, too!

If you just need Jesus to take the wheel with all this finance mumbo jumbo, let’s chat. No strings attached.
